Ingredients:
- 1kg of Beef Brisket
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
- Chef BBQ sauce
- 4 brioche buns
For the red cabbage slaw:
- Half a head of shredded red cabbage
- 4 tbsp of mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your BBQ to (160°C). In a small bowl, mix the paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the beef brisket, making sure to coat it evenly. Place the brisket into the bbq and cook for about 3 to 4 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
- While the brisket is cooking, prepare the red cabbage slaw. In a large bowl, combine the shredded red cabbage, mayonnaise, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the cabbage is well-coated. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
- Once the brisket is done, baste it with the bbq sauce for about 15 minutes.
- Toast the brioche buns lightly.
- To assemble the sandwiches, place a generous amount of the BBQ brisket on the bottom half of each brioche bun. Top it with a portion of the red cabbage slaw. Cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the BBQ brisket sandwiches with additional BBQ sauce and enjoy!
